About Me

Hello,

My name is Launi and I'd like to take your picture. I love working with people  to create images that reflect their authenticity and character in beautiful ways. To me, there is no measure of beauty, it comes in many forms and it revealing itself in light. Light is what I am always seeking.  

Photography has enriched my life in more ways than I can count. I am a graduate of the Rocky Mountain Photography School Summer Intensive program 2021. I've spent the last 7 years honing my skills with photography classes and loads of practice. Photography is something I will be studying for the rest of my life as a student of light.

In 2021 I began working in broadcasting production and news videography. Through a lot of hard work, I earned a position as an photojournalist for NBC Montana where I began learning more about visual story telling and furthering my editing and writing skills. 

Now I have taken the skills I have learned and continue to learn, and created my own business...Earth On Up, a name I picked to represent the limitless beauty around us all, beauty I intend to spend the rest of my life capturing!

I have a wonderful little family with my husband of over 20 years and together we have an awesome teenage son along with 3 dogs and 2 cats. We love living in Missoula, the people here are genuine and kind and we are surrounded by breathtaking nature everyday. I am grateful to be part of this community.

I hope to see you on the other side of my lens sometime soon.
